Up-cycling – gift bags

I am often told that the placemats are too precious & beautiful to use. I have even heard of some people laminating the placemats – for keep’s sake’s! I’m quite honoured by this.

There is an alternative: for every 10 used placemats (hopefully with many happy memories) returned to me, you will receive a free up cycled gift bag! Beats throwing them away!

Freedom initially started a business making paper gift bags using newspaper alone. He has now modified his bags to incorporate an art cover, namely the used placemat’s, wine stains and all! Due to the popular demand of his low cost but quality products, he has already been able to employ a helper.

If you don’t have 10 used placemats, you could just buy a bag or three and support his business!

I have always had the vision of combining original art with a community project and up-cycling!! This project completely hits the spot for me.
