Bags of Art

To create “Bags Of Art” has been one of my life-long dreams.

I wanted to print my scanned art onto leather, fabric or anything I could imagine and use this to make functional and long lasting handbags. Using my art creatively on these planned bags was key!

Little did I imagine that ultimately I would use my “up-cycled” paper placemats vacuum fused onto “up-cycled” potato bag paper as the cover of the bags!? I blame the paper!!! It has all these attractive qualities that are totally addictive with endless possibilities, ultimately rejuvenating my creative juices!

The bags are lined with a soft fabric so as not to damage uncovered iPads or such like things. The outer paper lining is varnished and waxed for water resistance and durability. The more they are used, the more “leathery” they become and the better they feel!

So here we have it…… UP-CYCLED BAGS OF ART.

One can’t but love them!
